A summer of challenges and pleasures is ending and I'm surprisingly ok with it.

Our brain always seeks the easiest route and shortcuts are how we get by. Defining ourselves in roles is convenient for us and for the people in our lives. Mother and/or caregiver is a role we are well suited for, and brings us a sense of satisfaction. purpose, and often appreciation (although never enough!). One of the opportunites of midlife is to reassess our roles and update them.
This is a theme in almost all of my coaching conversations these days and so with my fellow coach, Elizabeth Murphy, I created a retreat where a woman could have the space to consider her caregiving roles in life, where they came from, what she would like to change the way that she is in relationship to others. And to do that in a safe and secure environment, listening to other women finding their way through this challenging terrain and learning things that will make these realizations and changes easier and more organic. If you’re up for reflection, guidance, nourishing food and collective wisdom, join us November 7th.
